National Coming Out day.
Wednesday, October 11, 2017 marks the 29th National Coming Out Day. In the 1980s, when many people did not know any openly gay people, ignorance and silence allowed homophobia to persist. However, this important day allows individuals to ‘come out” and be free.

I am sexually free. Today, in honor of National Coming Out Day, a day we celebrate stories of being liberated from sexual frustration, sexual oppression, individuals from all walks and sexualities, can come out and speak their truth. Sometimes, in today’s closet world of hateful rejection, coming out should be a liberation. It should be a release. It should be freeing. But, it is not. We continue to hear harmful and hateful stories from sad countries that will shun, stone, and even prosecute for same gender loving. Why is love, sex and intimacy between two individuals that share the same genitalia so taboo, so forbidden, so disrespected. I do not have the answer to that. I do have my story.
I am sexually free. I am stripped away from put into a square box of who I like, who I love, and who can like and love me. I love all. I desire all. I need all. Each human I interact should be blessed with my love. It should not be restricted to one gender. Although I desire a monogamous relationship, and the ideals and structure it presents, I am open to a deepening relationship with love. A relationship that does not limit my choices, my hopes, and my desires. On National Coming out Day, I command you to break away from your own bondage of love and desire. Seek more. Love more. You will be confronted, disrespected and labeled as confused. But, untimely, you will be sexually free. It is a beautiful world.
Peace and Blessings. and LOVE
