What Happened? America’s Hidden H.I.V. Epidemic

In the U.S. South the H.I.V. epidemic among black gay, bisexual, and transgender (GBT) men has crippled cities such as Jackson, Mississippi; Nashville, Tennessee; Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Augusta, Georgia; and, Columbia, South Carolina. The numbers are staggering, and many are dying from the disease. Although, there are many methods to treatment, resources, and access to health care, the South is still suffering and many black GBT men are not getting the help or resources for treatment.
